Thousands of Voices
Join Sweet Adelines International and you’ll become part of an organization of nearly 27,000 women from all over the world who enjoy singing in four-part harmony - barbershop style.

Quality Entertainment through Education
Members of Sweet Adelines International learn music and vocal production. As a member, you will also learn choreography, stage production, costuming, makeup and much more. Training and certification programs are available to you in the areas of directing, arranging, judging, teaching (faculty), personal growth and leadership.

All The World’s A Stage
Hone your musical and performance skills at regional competitions. Each chorus rehearses regularly and is part of a geographic region or area that holds educational events and chorus and quartet competitions each year. These events provide opportunities for memorable fellowship, harmony and knowledge.

The Best of Barbershop
Thousands of members assemble annually for the highlight of the Sweet Adelines’ year: the international convention. Convention is held each year during late September, October or early November at a site selected several years in advance.

Barbershop harmony lovers from choruses everywhere gather to listen to the best quartets and choruses from each region competing in the international championships.

Other fun convention activities include education classes; a show of celebrity and top barbershop performers benefiting young singers through our official charity, the Young Singers Foundation; and a show presented by our past international champion quartets.

Sweet Adelines International Develops Leaders
Many members say the leadership development training they receive in Sweet Adelines International has changed their lives. Through meeting people and learning to work together for common goals, members develop skills and gain self-confidence.
